Richardson Park South Perth is located just a short stroll from Perth Zoo and is perfect for little ones who like a climbing challenge.
Access to the big slide is quite a challenge to access so it’s best suited to older kids or little ones who like a challenge. Entry is via a rope climbing net or rock climbing wall.
The playground features good natural shade and sensory play equipment including musical instruments and sand play. It also has a birds nest swing close to the sensory play area.
For the little ones there is a smaller play structure with slide, tunnel crawl, mini rock climbing wall, stepping stones, noughts and crosses, rocker and sand play. The playground is located alongside a large sporting reserve so there is plenty of room to run around.
Richardson Park is located just a short stroll from Perth Zoo and has free 2 hour parking on the north side of the road and ticketed parking on the south. It’s a nice, shady little park to enjoy a play before or after your visit to the zoo. There are no toilets but they maybe open at the clubrooms across the oval during sporting events.
