The Sandy Beach Playspace Bassendean is a large playground on the Sandy Beach Foreshore that’s packed with lots of sandy play, nature based and adventure play.

The main feature of this playspace is a multiple tower structure connected by a enclosed wooden bridge. Each of the towers has a slide down, one big tall slide for the bigger kids and a lower tower and slide for the younger ones.

This playground is big on sandy play, possibly in keeping with the name. Expect your kids may get a little drity and muddy at this park with water play, messy play and lots of nature based play on a range of white sand and coarse red pebbles.

The water play area is loads of fun with two water spouts, two troughs. movable dam wall plus lots of dirt to play with.

The dual cable flying fox is also a favourite at the Sandy Beach Playspace.

There is a good range of play for all ages with a couple of low level concrete slides, swings and carousels for the littler ones.

The Sandy Beach Play Space Bassendean is located on the Sandy Beach Reserve Foreshore on the Swan River. It’s a nice spot for a little splash or to launch your kayak or stand up paddle board.

Facilities at the Sandy Beach Play Space include seating, picnic shelters, water fountains, toilets (with baby change table) and outdoor shower. There is lots of parking in both the car park and along the reserve access road.

While the tall tower and slide are impressive the most unique aspect of this playspace is the amount of low level nature based play features available to explore. Both of these aspects make this a great playground for all ages.
