Scarborough Library

*Pram/Wheelchair Accessible * Baby Change Table* Toilets * Baby Rhyme Time * Story Time

The Scarborough Library is just one of the great libraries found in the City of Stirling. Located just off Scarborough Beach Road in the Scarborough Civic Centre Complex.

It is fully pram and wheel chair accessible, and has a spacious toilet that also includes a baby change table.

This is a wonderful library with a beautiful little kids corner set up with table and chairs, a few little toys, and a couch and some cushions so you can get comfy and read some of the wonderful story books.

Scarborough Library not only has lots of wonderful books for kids, there is also a great range of kids magazines, audio books and dvd’s – there’s something for all ages! There is even an online tutor to help with homework

There’s lots for the grown up’s to with lots of audio books and magazines to compliment the large selection of books. You can also read a large range of newspapers (if you don’t mind reading yesterday’s news)

Having not used the library for many years I was surprised to find out you can take out 20 items per card – but be aware that fines now apply for late books, however they have a great reminder service either by email or SMS a week before books are due to be returned.

The kids loved checking the books out with the scanner on the way out – you get a full receipt of what you have checked out that details the number of items checked out, details of each item, and the date they are due back.

City of Stirling Libraries have different opening times, and and you can return books to any of the City of Stirling Libraries – there are a few open Sundays. Check library opening times at www.stirling.wa.gov.au Also Baby Rhyme Time (0-2yrs) is at 10.30 Thursdays, and Preschool Story Time 10.30 Wednesdays.
