Sculpture & Garden Walk | Umbrellas Available To Borrow | Open Daily | Kids Under 4 Enter Free | Dog Friendly Attraction
Sculpture Park Margaret River has been a work in progress for a while for Hamelin Bay local and artist Brendan Booth. His dream park is finally open to the public and he welcomes one and all, including those with dogs to come along and enjoy the gardens and wooden sculptures (all his own work).
There is a small entry fee ($10 adults, $5 kids, $25 for a family of four). If he’s not around there is an honour box at the front entry.
You’ll find over 30 wooden sculptures across 10 acres of gardens, including some favourite characters such as Bugs Bunny, Homer Simpson and Zoot from the Muppets. Kids may like to follow the trail of riddles that will take them to a hidden treasure within the park.
Don’t let the rain stop you. We visited while it was raining in winter and just grabbed a couple of umbrellas on loan at the front entry and enjoyed a lovely walk through the gardens in the rain.
Allow around an hour to enjoy wandering through the gardens and to browse Brendan’s gallery before you leave. You are welcome to stay as long as you like however at Sculpture Park Margaret River.
While the gardens are mostly vegetated with coastal natives you can also find an array of succulents around the garden. We are sure the garden will become more and more beautiful as the park develops and grows. Note: there are several piles of materials around the out skirts of the park, so please ensure you closely supervise children in the park.
There isn’t much in the way of facilities at Sculpture Park Margaret River, so we recommend you go to the toilet before you arrive and bring along a bottle of water and some snacks on your visit.
If you are looking to enjoy an affordable family attraction attraction in Margaret River we highly recommend a drive to Hamelin Bay and a visit to Sculpture Park Margaret River. It’s a lovely opportunity to enjoy a walk with your family (including the family dog) and admire the life’s work and passion of one of Margaret Rivers local artists. It’s open daily 8am – 6pm and tours with artist Brendan Booth are available.
