Shoreline Park North Coogee in thenew Shoreline development is a great place for families to playand enjoy together. It features a small nature playground, lots of grassed openspace, exercise equipment, a basketball court, tennis wall and a table tennis table. This estate is so new that at the time of this review building of homes had not yet commenced.
The playground haslots of balancing logs and rope and net climbing equipment. My favourite arethe wooden logs painted to look like the ends of pencils.
One of thefeatures of the playground that I haven’t seen anywhere else before, are theropes attached to a sloping rock face which allows kids to do a bit of amateurrock climbing.
Another favouritewas the polished concrete slide. It is only small, but it does go very fast!The kids were going down it (and up it) in all sorts of positions.
Also at theplayground are a basket swing, monkey bars, picnic tables and barbecues (no toilets however).
Across the road isthe basketball hoop, tennis wall and table tennis table.
The developmentplans indicate that eventually there will also be a pedestrian bridge to accessthe beach, which will make this area a great place to spend a summer day. If you are after a coffee drive a little south of Shoreline Park to The Surfing Lizard Espresso Bar Coogee .
How To Get There: cnr Reinforcement Parade and Ancourage Drive, North Coogee (not yet on google maps). Shoreline Estate access is just north of the corner of McTaggart Cove and Cockburn Rd, North Coogee
