Australia’s first pop up water park Splash City (formerly named Xscape at the City Perth), located at Belmont Park, just off the Graham Farmer Freeway is now open from November to April –  and it is an awesome day out for the whole family.

As you approach you can’t miss the big water slides in particular The Drop which is the tallest inflatable slide in the world at 23m high.  I wasn’t able to have a go on our sneak peak visit (what a shame lol) as I had my little one with me, but will certainly be giving this a go when we head back this summer with the family (minimum height 110cm).

There are two other inflatable water slides alongside this one. The Waterfall which is a 4 lane, 16m high waterslide and The Cliff which is an 8m tall dual lane waterslide perfect for younger ones and to warm yourself up for the bigger slides (minimum height also 110cm for this slide).

Dinosaur Water Park is perfect for the little ones that are too young for the bigger water slides. It features 6 smaller water slides and is surrounded by a shallow 0.6m pool.  There are no height limitations for this pool it can be enjoyed by kids and adults.  Kids under 5 must have direct adult supervision.

I found that I had to lift my 5yo up to climb up to the slides around the large orange dinosaur so you may find you also need to assist younger children to access this one.  The access into and out of the pool around the dinosaurs is also quite high so you many need to help your kids here also.

The whole family will love lazing around the big 0.8m pool. There a are a couple of fun inflatables in here and lots of inflatable rings to laze around on.

We saw a Dad and his kids having a great time with this inflatable see-sawing back and forth and flinging each other off. The pool can be enjoyed by all ages, kids under 5 just need to be directly supervised by an adult.

When it’s time to have a break from the sun there is a fantastic big dry inflatable Obstacle Challenge Course . Its a massive 65metres long and 8metres wide. Its for kids 5 years and over only, and adults can also join in and race the kids too. There is shade over the length of the inflatable obstacle course.

Alongside the Inflatable Obstacle Course the Jump N Tramps Trampoline. These are also under the shade and can be used by kids and adults of all ages (under 5’s just need to be accompanied by an adult)

For the little ones wanting to have a play out of the sun, there is an under 5’s play area within the cafe seating area. It’s fully fenced and packed with cubby houses, cars and lots of other toys to play with and is perfect to keep them occupied while you enjoy a drink, something to eat or an icecream.

You are welcome to bring along your own food and drink to Splash City Perth, however you cannot bring alcohol, glass containers or bottles or outside restaurant food.  You can also treat yourself to something from the cafe they have a range of hot and cold foods, snacks and drinks. There are lots of high chairs available within the cafe area too.

There is heaps of seating in the cafe area and it’s all shaded. And if you really need to chillax, head to the chill out zone – packed with lots of bean bags in the shade. As you can see Master 5 is having a much earned rest before heading back to the pool.

Entry is now $28 per person. Kids under 4 enter free and can use the Toddler Zone, however each child under 4 must be accompanied by one paying adults. One spectator can also enter free per full paying customer. Please note that age and height restrictions apply for some of the attractions, so visit the Splash City website (link below) for more information.

Splash City has thought of everything with wet and dry attractions for everyone, parents room, high chairs, big cafe and chill out zone – your family will have a memorable day out here this summer for sure.  This is one for the must do list this summer – so get out the calendar and lock it in.
