Stirling Civic Gardens

Beautiful gardens and big playground right alongside the Stirling Train Station

Stirling Civic Gardens Features: Playground | Close to Stirling Train Station | Toilets | Picnic Shelters | BBQs | Water Fountains | Free Parking

The Stirling Civic Gardens Playground is tucked away behind rolling green hills in the garden park next to the Stirling Train Station. It’s a beautiful park to play and wander around with a big playground (that was upgraded early 2022), small lakes, water features and pathways that wind around the shady park and gardens.

The new playground is similar to the previous playground, with lots of obstacle type features and loads of play elements for all ages. Just like the old playground there are a couple of entry points to the playground straight from the large elevated picnic shelter.

This playground pretty much has every play feature you can think of with tunnels, climbing walls, firemans poles, ramps, bridges, monkey bars, rope climbs, ladders, slides (including two lower slides for the little ones and a big winding tunnel slide for the bigger kids), swings and more.

At one end there is also a nature / sand pit area with balancing logs and a see-saw.

The playground is mostly sand surface with the swings and a ride on bouncy car on the soft fall surface section. It is well shaded with a combination of shade sails and natural shade.

Alongside the playground are toilets, a water fountain and a bike rack. One of the toilet cubicles includes a baby change table.

It’s definitely worth bringing along small bikes or scooters, with paths that wind through the gardens, past the lake, to the war memorial and a small water feature that feeds the lake.

Free parking is located at the Stirling Civic Gardens or it’s just a short stroll from the Stirling Train Station. IKEA Innaloo is about a 15-20 min walk away and in the other direction there are some takeaway outlets (Subway and Chicken Treat) and cafes (Cheeky Cinos and El Greco Cafe) just off Karrinyup Road.
