Taphouse Mulberry Estate Caversham in the Swan Valley is a beer garden experience along the banks of the Swan River with a kids play area, garden games and the option of a round of family mini golf.
If you like a more natural setting for your lunch or a drink with a light meal in the Swan Valley you’ll love this spot. Tables are located overlooking the Swan River that are still close to the play area or you can choose to sit closer to the mini golf or at tables away from the kids play area including the balcony up near the bar area.
Dining is available indoors too with a wood fire that may be lit on a cool Winter’s Day.
The play area is fairly basic with a sand pit, a cubby house and a couple of low level slides suitable for little ones. Garden games are also available to play.
Alongside the play area is a fenced 18 hole mini golf course. The mini golf costs $10 per child, $15 per adult or $39 per family (2A2C or 1A3C). The course has good natural shade and each hole has an interesting obstacle including several animal statues.
The play area and main dining areas are located well away from the water, which means you can enjoy a wander down to the Swan River’s edge during while you wait for your meal or to enjoy a little walk after your meal. There isn’t a jetty here but if you are arriving by boat you may be able to moor a small boat here.
There is a sea container bar in the beer garden that was closed while were were visiting that most likely opens on busier days so you don’t have to take the walk up the stairs to the bar.
The menu features a range of meals including dishes to share, desserts, kids meals and a range of locals beers,ciders, wines and beer tasting trays. High chairs are also available. Taphouse Mulberry Estate is open Thurs – Sun from 11am. It closes at 4pm Thursday and Friday and closes 6pm Saturday and Sunday.
