Tarts Cafe Northbridge, located just a short walk up Lake Street from Hyde Park is the perfect place to dine or enjoy a coffee and milkshakes with the kids.
Open daily Tarts Cafe is your go to if you are looking for somewhere central to dine with the kids, and makes the perfect coffee and play combo, if you are visiting Hyde Park. They have great colouring in sheets for the kids available from the front counter, the kids loved colouring in and completing the activties.
You can’t beat dining in the garden area out the back. There is lots of room for the kids to move around, a foosball table the kids will love and as you can see it is just a beautiful setting. It’s fully enclosed at the back of the cafe, so no problem with kids running off either.
The staff at Tarts Cafe are super friendly and the food is delicous. The waitress even did a fist pump when my son said he loved his chocolate milkshake! They are a family run business and love having families come to dine and visit.
We visited for morning tea on this occassion to meet up with a friend that was staying in Northbridge. The boys enjoyed a milkshake and a sweet treat each (a mini muffin and a piece of rocky road). Master 5 reckons it was the best rocky road ever.
I enjoyed a delicous apple, carrot and watermelon juice. They have a great range of gluten free and vegan options including raw sweet treat options so it’s a great place for everyone to enjoy dining out.
My friend had the scrambled eggs on toast ($10) and said it was delicious
They also have a little range of gifts, so if you are looking for a little something for someone, make sure you have a browse through. There are also a few seperate dining areas inside so it’s also a nice place to dine if its raining outside too.
Tarts Cafe Northbridge is one of our new favourite places to dine with the kids (and our dog, just ask them to open the side gate and you can dine with your dog in the back garden area). It’s only a short walk to Hyde Park, so it’s the perfect place to eat or grab a coffee and milkshakes before or after a play and walk.
