The Hairy Marron Margaret River is the perfect cafe for families wanting to head out for a light meal or a coffee with both indoor and outdoor dining, including a outdoor deck that overlooks the beautiful Margaret River. There’s one main word for The Hairy Marron – LOCATION! You can’t get more Margaret River than dining over the towns name sake and that’s what makes The Hairy Maron unique.

It was pretty wet on the day we visited, and as you can see there was a lovely fog over the river, so we dined inside. There are only a few dining areas inside, there are some tables and chairs as well as some lounge dining areas.

We enjoyed a light breakfast with the kids enjoying a croissant each, and I had the most scrumptious white chocolate and blueberry muffin. And the coffees where beautiful too. We loved the vibe of this place, it has a fun, casual atmosphere and the staff are super friendly.

The menu consists of light meals like wraps, paninis, croissants and muffins, there are also a few raw treats to choose from like Raw Bliss Balls. Oh and the babycinos are only $1!

We are hoping for better weather next time so we can enjoy the outdoor deck with our dog. Dogs are allowed in the outdoor dining area and if it’s raining there are a few tables under cover outside, so a good spot to dine with your dog all year round.

And if you choose, you can also turn your visit to The Hairy Marron into a day out.  Just a short walk through the forest and across the bridge is the beautiful Rotary Park.

From here you can also join the Ten Mile Brook Walk or Cycle Trail – it’s an 7.3kms each way and you can hire adult bikes from The Hairy Marron or bring your own.

Back across the bridge, if you turn left instead of right to head back to The Hairy Marron, there is a lovely little bush walk to a viewing platform, and it’s only about a 20-30min round walk, and the walk is suitable for a pram.  Find out more about this bush walk in the review below

Also back over the bridge is the Old Settlement too just alongside The Hairy Marron

So if you are looking for a true Margaret River dining experience, we highly recommend The Hairy Marron, located on Bussell Hwy just as you enter the Margaret River town, and of course located on the banks of the Margaret River.
