The Henley Brook Swan Valley

Relax and unwind in the heart of the Swan Valley at this family friendly pub with nature based play for the kids and local brews for the grown ups

Open Daily | Nature Based Play Area | Indoor/Alfresco/Outdoor Dining | High Chairs | Kids Meals | Licensed

The Henley Brook is a laid back family friendly pub located in the heart of the Swan Valley that works with local brewers, wine makers and producers to bring you an amazing Swan Valley dining experience, plus they have a nature based play area and heaps of grassed area for the kids to run around, so it’s a relaxing experience for the whole family.

The big draw card at The Henley is the massive open grassed area where the kids run “free range” to kick a ball, climb in the shade on the nature based play area or get a little messy in the mud kitchen.

The nature based play area features large tyres, climbing logs, a mud kitchen and a couple of goal posts out on the lawn area which is in full view of the alfresco and outdoor dining area. Keep an eye on The Henley Brook facebook they often run nature & messy play sessions and other kids entertainment. There were a few sports balls on the grassed area so my youngest enjoyed kicking a few goals while he waited for his lunch to come out.

While The Henley is not a brewery or winery you can most certainly still enjoy the flavours of the region and surrounds and this pub definitely has all the feels of a brewery or winery experience. You can choose to dine inside, undercover or out in the sunshine.

We sat near the wood fired pizza over in the undercover, alfresco area so my son could watch his pizza being made. They have a range of your classic kids meals at $10 each including, wood fired pizza, nuggets, fish and spaghetti and you can add an icy pole for just $3. Plenty of high chairs are available for the younger ones.

For the grown ups there are a range of wood fired pizzas to choose from (gluten free pizza bases available), small plates, salads and big plates. I had the Soft Bao Buns from the Small Plates menu and these were just amazing. I can’t wait to go back and have them again. The service was really friendly and our food came out in good time, which I didn’t expect as it was quite busy when we arrived.

The Henley Brook is a good location to eat all year round. Inside is a large wood fire place and there are gas heaters in the alfresco area.

If you are in the Swan Valley “The Hen” is most definitely worth crossing the road for. It’s the perfect place for the whole family to relax and enjoy a winery/brewery style Swan Valley experience. It’s open daily and open later Thursdays – Saturdays so you can enjoy lunch and dining experience at The Henley Brook.
