Tom Wright Park Carlisle is not just a playground it’s a complete community hub with all the things families love to be active together, right across the road from the new West Coast Eagles training ground that’s part of the Lathlain Redevelopment.
The playground features a wooden play structure with blue tube slide surrounded by nature based play.
It’s not all action with a couple of hammocks to relax under the trees by the playground.
There’s lots of enjoy for all ages with a smaller boat shaped playground and water play too.
Make room in the car you’ll need to pack all the gear for this park. Starting with the skateboards and scooters. Close to the playground is a mini skate park, perfect for little ones who like to roll. Unisex toilets are located between the skate park and playgrounds.
Bring along the tennis rackets and a basketball too. These two large courts are free to use and don’t require booking. Picnic shelters and BBQs are located on alongside the courts too.
There’s plenty of pathways and bike racks around the park as well as lots of grassed area to run around.
Your fur child doesn’t miss out on the fun, with a fenced dog park with small and large dog section especially for them.
If you want to get the kids off their ipads and out of the house for some quality family activity time, Tom Wright Park Carlisle is the place to go. Cafes are nearby at Laika Coffee and Kettle Cafe Lathlain
