Saturday16th – Music at Murdoch
Now in its third year, Music at Murdoch returns for an unforgettable night of live music, food and entertainment, set amongst the eucalymjsptus trees at Bush Court at Murdoch University. This year, Aria Award winner and winner of the X-Factor Series 4 Samantha Jade and her band will light up the stage, with support acts from Ben Merito and his band, Kiara Eve and the One Big Voice school group. Saturday 9th – Wandjoo Festival, Jindalee
TheJindalee Foreshore will come alive this February with the City of Wanneroo’sWandjoo Festival, a celebration of local Aboriginal history and culture. Thefree family event will showcase local Aboriginal businesses and feature liveperformances from dance groups and musical acts including Koolangkas Kreate,Struggling Kings, Angela Rule and hip hop acts Fluent and Syllabolix. Sunday 10th – Perth Chinese New Year Fair
The2019 Perth Chinese New Year Fair comes to Northbridge on Sunday 10 February,noon to 9pm. This multicultural extravaganza includes a parade, stalls,cultural activities, lion and dragon dancing, multicultural concert, games andrides. Sunday17th – Lunar New Year Lantern Festival, Northbridge
Take a stroll down William Street to see the beautiful red lanterns add a splash of colour to Northbridge as part of the Lunar New Year Lantern Festival. The festival will run along William Street, from Roe to Brisbane Street and features lion dancers, kids activities and roving entertainment in the event zone between Newcastle and Monger Street. 4pm – 9pm. Saturday23rd – Fenian Festival Family Day, Fremantle
The Fenian Festival Family Day will be buzzing with free activities for all the family. The WA Maritime Museum is offering free entry all day (entry fees will however apply for their major exhibition). Listen to great stories, see a replica whale boat, make a model boat, follow the Shamrock trail, view the award winning children’s movie Secret of Kells on the big screen, watch displays of traditional dancing and keep an eye out for talented young buskers. 10am – 5pm. The City of South Perth’s annual South Perth Sounds Concert will return to Sir James Mitchell Park on Saturday 23 February 2019 with Australian rock legends, the Hoodoo Gurus set to headline the free community concert. The Illuminate Night Party showcases everything that makes Gosnells a great place to live.
