Variety Place Saw Avenue Kings Park Feature: Nature Based Playground * Toilets * BBQs * Picnic Tables * Water Fountains * Footpaths * Pavilion for Hire (Fees Apply)
Variety Place Saw Avenue Kings Park was upgraded and opened in August 2014. Your kids will love this huge nature based playground and will spend hours exploring, climbing up to the fort, crawling through tunnels, and swinging on ropes.
There isn’t much shade of the play area so hats and sunscreen are a must, but the grassed area is well shaded, so you wont have any trouble finding a nice shady spot to lay out your picnic rug or a shaded picnic table.
Climbing up to the fort was definitely my boys favourite part of the playground. There is also a cool tunnel in the cave beneath they loved too!
There is something for all ages with logs for crawlers to crawl through and lots of caves for walkers to explore. The bigger kids will love the ropes playground, and there is a bird nest swing here too.
There is plenty of grassed area to run around so bring a ball. There are also free to use BBQ’s so bring a barbeque breakfast, lunch or dinner along. It’s great fun to play and hang out here all day long! Toilets are located near the playground.
If you are looking for somewhere central to meet friends or family why not meet at Variety Place on Saw Avenue Kings Park.
Variety Pavilion: you can book the Variety Pavilion for parties or special occasions via the Kings Park Bookings Officer. This is a great option for a party or gathering during winter or where rain might be threatening. It is suitable for a gathering of 50 or less people. Find out more about booking the pavilion here
