Village Beach and Recreation Area Wannanup Features: Swimming Beach | Playground | BBQs | Toilets | Shower | No Dogs
Village Beach and Recreational Area Wannanup is the perfect spot for families, especially those with younger children, to enjoy a swim, play and BBQ by the beach.
Village Beach is set amongst the western canals at Wannanup and features a flat white sandy beach surrounded by a limestone wall that includes ramp and steps entry to the beach. The water is calm, flat and shallow close to the shore, before gradually getting deeper as you make your way out into the canals. It’s a beautiful spot for a swim or to launch your kayak, canoe or stand up paddleboard (SUP).
On the grassed reserve is a small playground with shade. The playground is fairly basic and is suited to younger children, but there is lots of grassed area for the bigger kids to run around.
Alongside the playground are BBQs and a small picnic shelter.
Also close to the playground are toilets and an outdoor shower so you can hose off the sand before your picnic or BBQ or before you head home.
A family day at the beach for young families doesn’t get much better and easier than the Village Beach and Recreational Area. With calm, shallow waters, BBQs, shower, toilets and the Piazza Port Bouvard just around the corner (on Village Mews) with a deli and Celebrations, there’s not too much more you could want for from a family day out at the beach.
