The Walyalup Koort Kings Square Play Space is located in the heart of Fremantle that is a must visit for somewhere to play and relax for young families when in Fremantle. Kings Square is only a short walk from the Fremantle Esplanade, Fremantle Train Station and Fishing Boat Harbour.

The playground has been designed to incorporate some of Fremantle’s history and iconic features like this crane swing that looks much like the container cranes that line the Fremanlte Port.

Play features are designed for younger children with lots of low level play available to enjoy.

The play space has good natural shade an a soft fall surface and lots of ground level play features around the main playground including an inground trampoline

Water play that includes a water pump on wooden decking

And nature based play elements with balancing logs alogoside the water play area.

Around the outside is a wide pathway with “train tracks” painted across it, so if you have a scooter or small bike there’s a pathway to ride around.

There are some eateries nearby the Walyalup Koort Kings Square Play Space including Varsity Freo, Rolld, Smash Grill, Get Chunky and more. They are all found within the FOMO , a retail and food experience located within the Kings Square precinct. Toilets are located in the Fremantle Library building and nearby eateries.
