Warradale Park Landsdale

A mix of nature based play and traditional play at the big Warradale Park Landsdale

Naturebased Play * Under Cover Play Area * Traditional Playground * Large Oval * Basketball Ring * Lake Walk * Cricket Nets

Warradale Park Landsdale offers four different play areas including two nature play areas. One of the nature play  areas is located away from the lake but you can wander over and enjoy a play at Sam’s Playground , a nature and sensory based, fully fenced playground or walk or a ride around the lake also.

The nature based play area is located just outside the Landsdale Primary School fencing. It features a water creek (however the water was not working during our visit), log and rock balance, sand play and a tee pee with a big shady tree in the middle for good natural shading.

Right alongside the nature playground is a full covered little playground. While this little playground is not anything special, it’s pretty unique to find and undercover playground in Perth and is a good contigency if it rains. There is also another little uncovered and unshaded play structure near this play area.

Just across from the nature play area is another playground with a more challenging play structure for older kids.

If you keep walking towards the clubrooms you will find this cute little playground with fantastic sand play feature and a play hot dog stand.

There is another great little play structure here too with monkey bars, slide, mini flying fox and more. There are toilets located at the Warradale Park Club Rooms, however may only be open when the club room is in use. You can also find cricket nets and a basketball ring at the park and if you wander to the other side there is a lake walk with shared path all the way around. The play equipment is located well away from the lake but please be wary that it is there and supervise children closely.

In 2016 the fully fenced, nature and sensory based playground built in honour of toddler Sam Trott and the community that joined the effort to find him in 2014 was opened. You can read more about the features of Sam’s Playground here.

In 2017 this park received yet another upgrade with an obstacle course style playground. The playground features play structure with rope climb entry, two slides and a concrete tunnel underneath. Surrounding this is a series of individual wood and rope obstacles.

Warradale Park is the perfect spot for a play with something for everyone. Remember to bring along your bikes or scooters if you want to enjoy a round the lake walk too.
