The Wattle Grovenature playspace incorporates the beautiful natural surroundings of WoodlupineBrook with playground elements, to allow kids to enjoy the great outdoors whileencouraging creative play
One of the first things we noticed when we got to the parkwas the 5-way swing, where five people can swing at the same time!
Behind the swings,amongst the native landscape, are some large logs and netting to access awooden platform. This play element requires some balance and a bit ofimagination.
Running through the middle of the park is a creek bed.During our visit it was dry, but I have heard that after some rain the creekfills up and adds that extra bit of adventure, especially if you choose tocross the creek via the log bridge – so bring the gumboots and spare clothes along if it’s been raining just in case.
The park also has a polished concrete slide over the top ofa tunnel. The slide is super-fast and the kids had a lot of fun going down itover and over again. It was their favourite part of the park.
There is a hammock swing towards the back of the park whichcan be used to practice balancing or for laying back and relaxing.
There are lots ofnative trees and bushes providing natural shade to the area, as well asbenches, tables, water fountain and barbeque.
Wattle Grove nature playspace is a greatsmall park where kids can get back to basics and enjoy nature at its best.
Please note that during our visit the car parkwas covered in broken glass. There was no broken glass in the actual park, butplease be aware and vigilant
