Thanks to Adrenalin we got to experience a West Coast Jet Fremantle Speed Boat Ride . If you and your family are thrill seekers then you will love this fast, crazy, loud & wet ride along the Fremantle coastline.
Kids 5 years and older an ride with West Coast Jet, and children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We recommend however that a West Coast Jet ride is probably more suitable for kids around 10 years +. While it is safe for younger children to ride, unless they are thrill seeking type kids they may not enjoy this ride (my children where not in the thrill seeking category on the day unfortunately).
Leaving from the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbout, just out the front of Cicerllos, the crew pretty much get the safety formalities out the way, the music is cranked super loud and the boat heads out to open water just off the Fremantle coastline. Within about 2-3minutes from leaving it’s then full throttle as West Coast Jet take you up and down the Fremantle coastline at the most amazing speeds, stopping and turning quickly for a very thrilling ride.
And you do get very wet from head right down to your toes. Water sprays right over the boat and the floor gets fills up with water a bit too so your feet get pretty wet too. If it’s a little chilly, a splash jacket is highly recommended.
A West Coast Jet speed boat ride is pretty much like a show amusement ride but on water and you get very wet. It has all the thrills, spills, screams and laughter you get from a ride at the show – so if your kids aren’t into rides at the show, may be best to wait until they are a bit older.
Things go full on for about 15 minutes and then it’s time to head back to the harbour, where you arrive pretty much right on 20 mins after leaving. It was very lovely of the West Coast Jet team to offer to let my boys have a go at steering the boat when they came back into the habour, unfortunately they were happy to stay in their seats until we reached dry land.
