If you are in the Swan Valley with kids, you must drop into Whistler’s Chocolate! But don’t expect the kids will be happy with a quick taste test and back into the car – you will no doubt be drawn into the fantastic family atmosphere and want to stay for hours.
When you enter you are surrounded by all the beautiful Whistler’s chocolate products and free taste testing area in the Showroom. In this area you will also see the most amazing chocolate aquarium you will ever see. This underwater scene is made out of chocolate and candy and is an absolutely amazing piece of art! Definitely a favourite with the kids. (Note: the chocolate scene regularly changes, last time we visited it was a chocolate zoo).
Just off the showroom is the Cocoa Lounge. This room has lots of comfy lounge style chairs and is a great place to sit back, relax and enjoy a coffee. There is also a spacious, air conditioned cafe from which you can enjoy a range of light meals, a big range of desserts and coffees. There are also a couple of little free play arcade games at the entrance to the cafe.
If you are after the ultimate chocolate dining experience make sure you order yourself a chocolate fondue creation.
Outside is an amazing big grassed area, with a large sand pit and massive blackboard. There are balls out here for the kids to kick around and shaded table and chairs so the kids can run around while you enjoy your coffee or light meal.
There is also now a nature based play area in the outside area too! This is a definite favourite with the kids
You’ll find it hard to get the kids away, but maybe the promise of some Whistlers chocolate covered snakes or chocolate covered bananas – or one of their other yummy favourites will do the trick.
