Whitfords Nodes Playground South Hillarys

Imaginative playground just a short walk from Hillary Boat Harbour

Whitfords Nodes Playground South Hillarys Features: Playground | Picnic Shelter | BBQs | Water Fountain | Toilets Nearby | Cafe Nearby

Whitfords Nodes Playground South Hillarys is one of two playgrounds in this large beachside park and this one is located at the south end, just a short walk from Hillarys Boat Harbour.

The carpark for this playground is located off Northside Drive on the north side of Hillarys Boat Harbour. You can also walk here from Hillarys Boat Harbour by walking across the large northern carpark to the back side of the Fisheries Department Building. You can also access the playground from the main Whitfords Nodes Playground and wander along the footpath that connects these two playgrounds.

The first thing my son noticed about this playground as it appeared to look like a sinking ship. The main play structure is on a negative angle, so he jumped straight into some imagination play that he was on a rough sea, and was sliding down the deck and using the steering wheel to get steer the boat out of the rough seas to safety.

There’s lots of cool ways to access the deck from underneath or the sides via a cargo net, plank or climbing through the middle and of course the fun slide to abandon the ill-fated ship.

He also loved working his way from one end to the other without falling into the rough seas below.

At the other end is a some low level balancing logs and a wooden climbing wall.

There is a picnic shelter and bbq located near the playground as well as lots of grassed area around. Toilets are located at the main Whitfords Nodes Playground and The Italian Cafe is just a short walk back towards Hillarys Boat Harbour also.

This playground is perfect for little ones with imaginative and low level play and makes a great addition to your visit to Hillarys Boat Harbour.

How To Get There: (we’ve referenced the Perth Diving Academy in the map as it’s just across the road from here)
