The newly opened Yokine Playground, at the Yokine Reserve on Wordsworth Avenue, is absolutely amazing! It’s a big playground located the Yokine Regional Open Space, that is completely enclosed with fences and a few double gated entry/exit points and features lots of low level adventure play, perfect for younger ones.
This beautiful new playground has a natural feel about it with lots of beautiful, large shady trees and lots of nature play features. Kids will love winding their way around the wooden balancing logs.
For the climbers there is a rock climb wall climbing wall and climbing net. This structure can also be access via ramps so it’s accessible to all.
There is something for all ages at this park, with ground level musical play features, sea saws, swings and small spinning space net. There are several swings including a basket swing as well as traditional swings, so no waiting for ages to have a turn
Bring the spare clothes along as there is a small water and sand play feature within in the playground.
Yokine Playground also makes a great place for a family gathering or birthday party with barbeques and a small shaded area with a table and seating. Toilets are located outside the fenced area not far from the bbq area too. You may also find Park Coffee at the park, this coffee van is located here on selected days and times (a google search for “Park Coffee” indicates it’s at the park Wednesday to Sunday for limited hours).
