Zone Bowling (formerly AMF Bowling) is the perfect place for dinner and a night out of friendly competition with the family. Zone Bowling centres are located in Rockingham, Joondalup, Morley and Cannington.
Make sure you wear socks because you need to wear those very lovely looking bowling shoes to be able to play. There is a mat near the shoe hire so you can work out what size you need.
If you are looking to treat the family to a night out and want to spend some quality time together, ten pin bowling is a great option. All members of the family can join in and it’s a good activity to get kids off their iPads and doing something physical. For younger children you can ask for the bumpers to be put up when it’s their turn (so their ball doesn’t always end up in the gutter) and there is also a ball ramp to support the ball if it’s a little too heavy to pick up and throw. Games start from $14.90 for kids off peak and family deals are often available.
What surprised us most about Zone Bowling was the range of food available, including healthier food options at very resonable prices. Kids meals were $7.90 and include a choice of chicken nuggets, mini burger, hot dog and chicken wrap. All meals come with a drink and chips.
For the grown ups there is also a good choice of foods with burgers, hotdogs, wraps, bruschetta, fish and chips, mexican tasting plate and more. Zone Bowling Centres are also licensed so the grown ups can enjoy a beer, wine, ciders and spirits. You can enjoy your drinks and food while you are bowling with bar style tables and chairs behind your bowling alley seating.
If you find they are begging you for another game, the amazing desserts are a great way to drag them away from the alley and closer to the front door. Choose from churros, sundaes, fondue or apple pie bites.
You can also tempt them with a milkshake or an icecream spider.
A night out bowling with the family is much more than just bowling, think of it as going out for dinner but with a fun difference. Bowling is a great way to spend quality time together as a family doing something fun and active and is perfect for families with toddlers right up to teens. Zone Bowling Centres are open daily until late, so make a great go to if you are wanting to head out for an impromtu family night out.
