We visit Beedelup Falls whenever we are in Pemberton. It’s a beautiful spot to enjoy thewaterfalls and be immersed into the forest and wildlife.
The falls are accessed from a turnoff offthe Vasse Highway. Keep a look-out for the tourist signs pointing you in thecorrect direction. There is plenty of parking at the falls, including space forcaravans and buses.
Itis a short 300m walk from the carpark to the falls. This track is suitable forwheelchairs and prams and will take you to the all-access viewing platform outover the falls. During our visit, we decided to walk a loop around the falls.Firstly we crossed over the suspension bridge and then walked up and crossedback over the standard (solid non-swaying) bridge, and then back to the carpark.
The kids had lots of fun on the suspensionbridge, jumping and bouncing their way across. They had no fear what-so-ever!
The walk was nice and short, and we didn’t receive anycomplaints of “I’m bored” or “my legs are tired”, which is a big win in mybooks. The kids were just fascinated with the falls and the enormity of thetrees surrounding them.
From Beedelup Falls there is access toother walk trails that take you around Beedelup Lakeand/or to the Karri Walk-through Tree. These trails are a lot harder and notsuitable for prams.
The Beedelup Falls are beautiful to visit all yearround, but the best time is in Winter and Spring when the falls are fullyflowing. Beedelup Falls arelocated within a National Park, so park entry fees apply (find out more fromthe DPAW website )and can be paid for via an honesty system box at the bottom of the car park. Ifpurchasing a day pass, make the most of it and check out GloucesterTree on the same day.
