Escarpment Park Alkimos is one located in Perth’s far nothern suburbs and is a super cool park that feels a bit like it’s been taken from a story book!
Right near the slide is this fantastic balancing sea-saw type swing. I haven’t seen one of these before but this was the kids favourite. It gets a real swing up and throws them all around the place with it’s random movements – definitely lots of fun this one! As you can see the younger brother is holding on for dear life while his older brother tries to fling him off! There is small spinning rope climb here too.
This climbing rope section is fun for all ages with the ropes that are quite low to the ground as well as more challenging climbs.
All kids love swings of course and you can find plenty of swinging action here with a toddlers swing and birds nest swing too!
There are a couple of colourful picnic shelters overlooking the play areas and BBQ’s available too , so it’s a nice spot for a BBQ or packed lunch.
You can catch some ocean views from the top of the park, and there is a footpath that runs along the top of the park if kids want to ride their scooters or bikes.
Escarpment Park Alkimos is located in a quiet street and there is only roadside parking so parking may be tricky on a busy day. You may have visited when it was first built and toilets have since been installed.
