Sculpture Park Mundaring Features: Adventure & Nature Based Playground * Water Play Feature * Flying Fox * Bike Repair Station * Toilets * BBQs * Picnic Tables * The Mundaring Hotel across the road
Sculpture Park Mundaring is located about 40 mins from the Perth City Centre in the Perth Hills. It was redeveloped in 2016 and kept the orignal sculptures around the park that give this popular park it’s name.
The park is semi fenced, with the top part of the park open where the sculptures are behind the play equipment so children need close supervision here.
There is a lot to do at Sculpture Park Mundaring. The kids enjoyed climbing the giant spiderweb frame and sliding down the big slide.
There is a focus on sensory play at Sculpture Park Mundaring. You can find lots of musical instruments around the park.
There is also a sand pit where that features a large wooden “Ornate Crevice Dragon” that is fun to climb. If you dig you will discover lots of her bugs and eggs under the sand. You could bring along some shovels to make this dig even more fun.
Bring the spare clothes along, the kids will love the water play feature with tap where they can pump water onto the rocks.
The park is mostly wheelchair accessible and there are a couple of all abilities play features with a swing with harness and spinning wheelchair roundabout, that can be enjoyed by kids of all abilities.
There is also a nature based play focus at Sculpture Park Mundaring. They even have a little area with lots of sticks where the kids can make a teepee. There are lots of rocks to climb and logs to balance on. The park features mostly natural shading with areas of full sun in some parts of the playground.
A later addition to the park is the flying fox, picnic area and bike repair station. Tthis was a welcomed addition to this already fantastic park.
The park has retained many of the original sculptures that gave this amazing park it’s name, so kids will enjoy taking a break from all the play and check these out around this beautiful bush setting park.
Sculpture Park Mundaring has BBQs and toilets so is a great playground to spend the day away and we certainly think it’s worth the drive up to the hills to enjoy it. The Mundaring Hotel is just across the road too, so you may want to stay a while longer and enjoy a meal here.
