Bush Walk * Dogs Allowed Off The Lead
Enjoy a short suburban bush walk at Trigg Bushland Reserve. No need to wait for the weekend or head out of the city to take the kids on a nature walk, check out Trigg Bushland Reserve – dogs are welcome off the lead, but under control of their owner too.
The Trigg Bushland Reserve is located just off Karrinyup Road, before your reach the coast and you can park on the verge of the streets surrounding the reserve. There are several entries to the reserve, this is one of the main entries (above) onto the main track from Duart Rd. The Trigg Bushland extends to the other side of Karrinyup Rd, but this review is of the section on the north side of Karrinyup Rd.
The main path pictured above goes from Duart Rd through to Arnott Rd, and there are bush appreciation trails that are basically just tracks through the bush that run to the north of the reserve. You can see from the map on the sign that the tracks run parallel to each other, so it’s really easy to find our way around and back to your starting point.
All the tracks are well established including the bush appreciation trails – just make sure you stick to trials to protect the bushland and to avoid disturbing snakes.
The bushland here is beautiful and there are lots of wildflowers which we are sure there will be more of in Spring.
The Trigg Bushland Reserve is a lovely short nature walk for the family, including the family dog. Just make sure you stick to tracks, pick up your dogs droppings, and keep dogs under control.
