Amberton Pirate Playground and Scooter Park Eglinton Features: Flying fox * Playground * Toilets Nearby * Cafe Nearby * Climbing Frame * Sandpit with small play toys
Amberton Pirate Playground and Scooter Park is a little play haven right at the big of a big sports oval with wooden pirate ship playground and special track designed specifically for scooters right alongside the playground.
To get to Amberton Pirate Playground and Scooter Park, you’ll need to park in the big carpark just off Cinnibar Drive. From there it’s about a 100m walk to the playground and scooter park.
The main playground area features a star shaped climbing frame, balancing rope, small double slide and wooden pirate ship playground, on a mix of sand and soft fall.
There is a three swing frame, a couple of goregous caterpillar balancing logs, and spinning play features. There are posts up around the playground for shade sails during the warmer months.
Now for the most unique feature of this playground the scooter park! Unlike a skate park it has more gentle mounds and inclines designed especially for scooters. Make sure you pack the scooters the kids wont want to miss out on taking their wheels for a whirl around this awesome track.
For the grown ups there are exercise stations alongside the scooter track.
While there are no toilets at the playground, there is a bbq and picnic table so it’s a great place to meet with friends or hold a pirate or scooter party. Amberton Estate is still very much still being developed so there are only toilets at the Amberton Sales Office (also off Cinnibar Drive before the playground), but they are not always open.
Bring the footy or soccer ball along as there is a big multi use sports oval that the playground is alongside. There aren’t many big trees around either so it’s a good spot for flying a kite.
If your kids love pirates and riding scooters they will love this playground and will ask to go back again and again. It’s a great place for families to be active together with exercise stations and lots of room for a family game of soccer or footy. Check it out for your next meetup with friends and family.
