Kids of all ages will love one of Perth’s newest aquatic centres Cannington Leisureplex, with a waterslide for the big kids, water playground and indoor pools – they wont want to leave!
There are lots of facilities at the Cannington Leisureplex, including kids gym, creche, library, gym and more, but this review will focus on the aquatic centre.
For kids 6 years +, they can enjoy the 50m enclosed waterslide, it’s dark, it’s fast and it’s fun! It doesn’t run all the time so ring ahead to check but usually it operates 12-2pm & 2.30-4.30pm (check website for up to date session times) on weekends and during the October and January school holidays. With the entry and exit to the slide located indoors it’s be fun during winter on weekends too! The slide is an additional cost, it’s $3 per session or $5 for both sessions.
Kids of all ages will love the outdoor Jungle Splash water playground also open all year round on weekends and everyday of the October and January school holidays. This zero depth, shaded water playground that features sprays, cannons, water tunnels and dumping buckets and outside there is lots of seating and tables so you can enjoy a snack or lunch out here too. Jungle Splash is included in your entry fee.
Inside there are a couple of indoor pools. There is a shallow depth toddler pool with a water fountain and it’s nice and warm – so this is perfect for the little ones and there is a small leisure section in the bigger pool. They do swimming lessons here, but they leave a large section for leisure swimming while these are on.
There is also a lovely cafe right alongside the indoor pool so you can have an ice-cream or a bite to eat to have a break from the pool. BBQ hire is also available for $3.50 so you can bring your own lunch along to cook and really make a day of it.
A day out at Cannington Leisureplex is great value, at just $20 for family entry and it’s $3 for a slide session or $5 for both sessions. Bring a packed lunch or grab something from the cafe and play the day away at Cannington Leisureplex.
