Catalina Beach Park Mindarie

Take your play to new heights at the amazing Catalina Beach Park Mindarie

Catalina Beach Park Mindarie:  Features: Picnic Tables | Seating | BBQs | Water Fountain | Grassed Area | Exercise Stations | Street Parking | No Toilets

Land wise, Catalina Beach Park is quite a small playground but height wise it’s big. Featuring an 8 metre tall tower with ropes, slides and a lookout with ocean views.

The main feature of the playground is the tall 8m tower that looks a little like a lighthouse. There are various ways to enter the tower but the rope tunnel makes it easy for all ages to enter. At the base of the tower is a low level smaller slide, so kids big and small can enjoy playing in the tower.

There are several levels within the tower, and a choice of two bigger slides to come down. Right at the top is a viewing level where you can look out over the surrounding suburb and check out the ocean views.

The playground has a nautical theme. With tunnels for the kids to crawl through and a rock climbing wall that features a sailing world map. The little ones will also love the musical play.

Plenty of seating is available around the playground. Perhaps if you have older children that you can supervise from a little further away you can enjoy relaxing on the deck chairs while you watch them play.

If you want to stay awhile there is a large picnic shelter that is elevated and looks over the playground. A bbq close to the picnic shelter and two large grassed areas. A little further up, towards Marmion Ave there is also a small exercise area. Being a new area that is still under development there are no toilets at the park, however The Marina Mindarie and Ocean Keys Shopping Centre are not far away.

If you live in Perth’s northern suburbs or find yourself up that way, Catalina Beach Park Mindarie is most certainly worth a visit, especially for kids who love heights and love to climb.
