The Oxford Street Reserve Leederville is a gorgeous little playground, most suited to kids under 6 years. It’s fully fenced and the beautiful Cranked Cafe is right next to the play area, with a outdoor dining area overlooking the playground area.
While the playground is mostly designed for younger children bigger kids will also love the nature play and the big fort, which is a little difficult for younger children to climb up on.
Outside the fenced area is also a table tennis table and four square. Table Tennis bats are available within the cafe, and bring a tennis ball along to play four square.
Back inside the fenced area there are sensory play features like this xylophone, and there are several of those pipes that go underground that you speak into and listen and the other end!
As with many new Perth playgrounds, its great to see nature play features at the Oxford Street reserve Leederville too. Cranked Cafe is right alongside the playground and is open daily, and is open late Thursdays and Fridays so it’s a nice spot for an evening meal on these days too. Inside is small kids corner too.
The Oxford Street Reserve is a great place for a play while you enjoy a coffee or a meal and to meet with friends. You can catch the train and turn it into a fun day out, it’s right across the road from the Leederville Train Station.
