The Shore Cafe Alkimos

Beachside cafe family dining bliss at The Shore Cafe Alkimos

Cafe * Outdoor Play Area * Open Daily * Breakfast / Lunch *  High Chairs * Kids Meals * Raw Treats * Licensed (Beer / Cider / Wine)  * Indoor/Alfresco & Outdoor Dining

The Shore Cafe Alkimos is located right on the huge grassy Shorehaven Estate beachfront and boasts stunning views of the ocean from both the indoor dining and outdoor dining area. The Shore Cafe is open Wednesday to Sunday (Oceans 27 restaurant next door is open daily).

Shorehaven’s Treasure Island Adventure Playground is located just a short from The Shore Cafe so you can enjoy a play before or after you dine, or grab a coffee and a treat to enjoy at the playground.

Of course the views from outside are amazing.  There is seating alongside the play area so you can grab a coffee to enjoy here, or there is alfresco and outdoor dining seating closer to the cafe. (Alfresco dining not pictured this has been put in since our visit). Note: dogs on a lead are welcome to dine in the outside areas.

If you choose to dine inside because of the weather, don’t worry you wont miss out on the views. The inside section of the cafe is quite small so just beware you may need to wait during busy times if you want to dine indoors.

There is a great range to choose from on the menu. Breakfast is served until 11.30am with breakfast mains from $9 and lunch mains from $22. All kids breakfast and lunch menu items are $9 and they are bound to find something they like on the menu.  They even have Build Your Own Taco on the kids menu which is sure to be popular with any fussy little food critic. You can browse the menu here .

If you are just after a coffee and something light there is plenty to choose from the display cabinet including delicious raw treats by Raw Goodness. I grabbed a Bounty Ball & Banana Peanut Smoothie to go and they were both amazing.

It’s pretty hard to come to this location and not take a little stroll along the foreshore or take a seat to take in the view. There are some great little lounger seats not far down the beachfront from The Shore Cafe. If you want to stay and enjoy a swim, there is excellent beach access here and outdoor showers to wash off the sand before you head home. If you want to stay awhile and kick a ball around there is plenty of grassed areas, shady picnic spots and BBQs too.

The Shore Cafe is a great place to dine or just grab a coffee all year round, but is an absolute must for your summer beachside cafe dining list. It’s a great place to stay a little while afterwards to soak up the sun and the amazing ocean views. The Shore Cafe is open daily for breakfast and lunch.
